Washing temperatures

1. Cotton Bed Linens:
Cotton bed linens are durable and can typically be washed in warm water, which is around 40°C. This temperature helps remove stains and allergens effectively.

2. Linen Bed Linens:
Linen is a strong natural fabric that can also be washed in warm water. Use a temperature of around 40°C to maintain its quality.

3. Synthetic Fabrics (e.g., Microfiber):
Many modern bed linens are made from synthetic materials like microfiber. These can usually be washed in cold water, which is more energy-efficient. Cold water washing helps prevent pilling and stretching of the fabric.

4. Silk or Delicate Fabrics:
Delicate fabrics like silk or satin should be washed in cold water to prevent damage. Check the care label for specific instructions, as silk may require hand washing or a gentle cycle.

5. Hot Water for Allergen Removal:
If someone in your household has allergies, using hot water  60°C can help kill dust mites and remove allergens effectively. However, be cautious with hot water as it can cause some fabrics to shrink or fade.

6.Stains:
For stubborn stains on bed linens, you may want to pretreat the stain and use a higher water temperature if the fabric allows it. Follow the stain removal instructions on the detergent label.
